Mike & Julie Personius

"No obligation, no baloney. Just answers".

As you can see, Mike Personius doesn't believe in giving his customers the run-around. He is straight forward, honest and dedicated to giving his all to whatever he does. He and his wife Julie, owners of CHUNK'S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE, are professionals in the business as well as in their commitment to family and community. The above is a quote from Mike in a recent newspaper article entitled "Chunk's to donate proceeds of November 27 car repairs".

It turns out, every year at Thanksgiving Mike and Julie donate all the proceeds, for an ENTIRE day of service and repair, to Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis. The article goes on to say, Chunk's customers share this philanthropic outlook and have voluntarily paid more than the actual price of their repairs. In addition, Mike and Julie give all their customers a free auto emergency kit on that day.

Mike earned a degree as an automotive technician and worked for a dealership for several years. In 1993 he started into business with a friend and partner, James Kerber (deceased). In 1995 Mike moved and purchased an existing business that had been started in 1962, and is now the quality shop he calls CHUNK'S! He is an ASE certified Master Technician and a former AASP-MN Mechanical Advisory Board Member.

CHUNK'S is also a proud sponsor of the Orno High School Boys soccer team!

Julie Personius stays busy doing bookkeeping and accounts payable for CHUNK'S. She is one of the friendly smiles that welcomes you to the shop and is ready to help with your administrative needs. Julie is an integral part of the every-day auto repair business. She and Mike are a powerful team at work, at home and in the community!

Our ASE Certified Technicians

It shouldn't be difficult finding a competent auto repair technician. And yet, there are a lot of back-yard mechanics out there who want to part your car repairs dollars from your wallet. To protect consumers from expensive, botched up, unprofessional, automobile service, the non-profit, independent National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) was born.

In 1972 their mission was clear: develop a system that working automobile technicians could prove competency - to consumers, their employers and to themselves.

A series of national certification exams covering all the major automotive repair and service specialties produces a specialized group of automotive service professionals in repair establishments throughout the nation.
